“New to me and so worth it” Honestly, all the other waits were too long, so we wandered in here. The tikka masala and veggie dumplings were out of this world. Decent prices, and generous portions. Really glad I came.

“WONDERFUL FOOD AND SERVICE”
I have had lunch three times at Sherpa Kitchen and I love them. The service is outstanding and the food delicious. They are very accommodating. I wish them success!
“IN A WORD FRIENDLY”
a most welcome addition to Burlington’s food scene. The ambiance is warm and inviting and the staff friendly and accommodating. The food is delicious. The Momo (dumplings) and dipping sauce were excellent and the aloo chap really yummy. I will return to sample each one of their curries!
My wife and I have been to Sherpa Kitchen three times now. Each time has been better than the last! The beet salad is addictive. The chaat is a serious flavor bomb, redolent with spice and just bursting with zest and piquancy. Paneer masala was very good, much lighter than Indian iterations we’ve had. Roti has improved significantly, very buttery and flaky. Handmade noodles are great, and the chow mein and thukpa make good use of them. Service is always friendly, efficient, and impeccable!
I don’t do reviews often, but I had to comment on Sherpa Kitchen. 1. Service was outstanding from the (husband and wife?) team. They will answer all your questions. 2. The food was incredible. We had the beet salad (three equal portions of perfectly-cooked beets, raw spinach, and mozzarella cubes tossed in a parsley dressing); the wild rice salad, (wild and white rice with a mix of fresh herbs and chickpeas in a mildly spiced vinaigrette); an order of Mo Mos – aka steamed dumplings, hand made and on the medium-spicy side; and the mixed Thukpa, similar in style, but not quite the same as, a Vietnamese Pho. The presentation, quality, and flavors rival the best Asian food in Vermont, at a very reasonable price. With two non-alcoholic drinks (they do not yet have their alcohol license, but it’s coming) the total meal was under $50 for two. My one suggestion would be that they offer the Mo Mos in a half-portion/appetizer size, as they come 12 to an order, which is a lot for two people. We will definitely be back.
I was looking for a cheap, quick, authentic meal before a movie and I found it at Sherpa Kitchen! The atmosphere was peaceful and welcoming and the service was impeccable. I ordered a mango lassi and the vegetable momos and was very impressed with the taste and quality of the food. I was in and out in 30 minutes for under $20. I plan to come back again and again!
